Incoming President Rodrigo Duterte has yet to sit down in Malacanang however a few representatives are as of now planning to unseat him.

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano said that no less than two senators were already looking for ways to supplant Duterte who won with an avalanche vote in the 2016 races.

There are one or two (senators) that this is early are looking to topple him (Duterte),” Cayetano said in an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer. He didn’t name the legislators though.

Cayetano said senators ought to be more worried about how to do their part in making laws that would help the nation and not get occupied with how to expel Duterte. Cayetano said legislators could reprimand however not to the degree of obliterating a mainstream president.

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano is the vice presidential candidate of President-elect Duterte in the last presidential elections in May. Cayetano ranked third to the races. Leni Robredo was declared the winner. Bongbong Marcos ranked second.
